SEAGREEN FARMERS PROJECT — Rice grown over the seasons, harvested and dried in the sun

RETURNING TO EARTH — Record of agricultural support activities

In this agricultural support project, the rice that had been watched over its growth since planting reached its harvest time, and the participants worked from harvesting to bundling the harvested rice and drying it in the sun.

The rice, which was small and green when it was planted, has grown over the seasons to the point where the entire field is dyed golden yellow.
The harvest is finally here, and we carefully cut each tree while checking its condition one by one.
After rice harvesting, a certain amount of harvested rice is collected and tied into bundles tightly for subsequent drying and storage.
Even processes that seem simple at first glance, such as aligning the amount of rice and fixing it so that it does not collapse, are packed with ingenuity to make the work proceed more efficiently.

Then, the bundled rice goes to the "rice rack".
Hang them in order, checking the ventilation and hanging method, and let them dry thoroughly in the sun.
It doesn't end once the rice is harvested; there are many steps before the harvested rice becomes rice.

By being involved in the entire process from planting to harvesting and the subsequent work, I had the opportunity to learn that the rice we usually eat casually takes a lot of time and effort to make.

Prepare the farmland, plant seedlings, watch their growth, and harvest.
The initiative started with the restoration and utilization of abandoned farmland, but by engaging in a series of agricultural tasks throughout the seasons, the participants not only deepened their understanding of agriculture and food, but also became an opportunity to realize the difficulty and importance of reclaiming abandoned farmland as farmland and continuing to grow crops.
